We met at 10:30 for coffee, and we were still chatting happily a couple of hours later, so we stayed for lunch! Fiona, Chris and Ken came up from the Gold Coast, and Helen and I were the Brisbane representatives. Nola had to cancel at the last minute but hopes to be at the second gathering (next Sunday, 22nd). Pauleen was also unable to come, but may be able to join us for another event in late February or early March.

There will be a change of venue for next Sunday's meet-up. The cafe I originally suggested is (in my opinion) not suitable now that it has a 'new look, new management and new menu'. I will post an update when I have confirmed the new location.Judy Websterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02331380147873608965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-128036568960879479.post-23213784513781956992012-01-10T08:39:41.098+10:002012-01-10T08:39:41.098+10:00Pauleen, we very much hope that you can join us on...Pauleen, we very much hope that you can join us on the 15th. Two members of our team (one from the Netherlands and one from Australia) intend to meet up at the National Archives in The Hague later this year. Opportunities like that are an unexpected bonus for members of Genealogists for Families!Judy Websterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02331380147873608965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-128036568960879479.post-26628123859180642432012-01-08T14:39:01.250+10:002012-01-08T14:39:01.250+10:00Brisbane is a bit far from my normal hunting groun...Brisbane is a bit far from my normal hunting grounds, so I'll have to give you a rain check on this one. Maybe, someday, I'll be in Australia and can meet you, in person. :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07237626810464426460noreply@blogger.com
